The Opportunity

We are seeking a Trainee Classroom Teacher to join our team.

This role is designed as a supported entry route into the teaching profession for individuals who are passionate about working with children and committed to professional growth.

No formal teaching qualification is required at entry.
Full training and mentoring will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of experienced teachers and school leaders, you will:

• Support classroom teaching and learning activities
• Assist with preparation of Montessori materials and resources
• Provide individual and small-group support to pupils
• Help maintain a calm, orderly, and respectful classroom environment
• Supervise pupils during transitions and outdoor learning
• Observe and record pupil progress
• Model positive behaviour and safeguarding awareness
• Participate fully in training and professional development

As confidence and competence develop, responsibilities will increase gradually.

Desirable

• Experience working with children (school, volunteering, youth work, or care settings)
• Basic ICT skills
• Interest in Montessori or child-centred education
