About the Role

Hubert Ogunde Memorial Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and reflective Classroom Teacher to join our learning community. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher or an enthusiastic educator who is keen to develop their practice within a Montessori environment.

Full Montessori training will be provided, along with ongoing professional development and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in line with Montessori principles and the school’s ethos
• Create a calm, inclusive, and well-prepared learning environment
• Observe, assess, and support children’s progress appropriately
• Foster independence, curiosity, and respect for self, others, and the environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and professional conduct
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about children’s learning and development
• Demonstrates patience, warmth, and strong communication skills
• Is reflective and open to learning Montessori pedagogy
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
• Is committed to equality, inclusion, and child-centred practice

Previous Montessori experience is not required.
