Guinness World Record for Internet Safety Pledges
We are proud to announce that Hubert Ogunde Memorial School has achieved a new Guinness World Records title for the Most Pledges Received for an Internet Safety Campaign in 24 Hours.
This achievement was made possible through a powerful partnership with Digital Netizens Nigeria (DNG). Together, our students, staff, parents, and digital learning community came together to raise awareness about online safety, responsibility, and respectful digital citizenship.
The record highlights our ongoing commitment to digital wellbeing education and reflects the strength of our community in preparing learners for life in a connected world. It recognises the collective commitment of children, families, and educators to promoting a safer and more informed digital world. This is the first global record of its kind focused on internet safety pledges from a school-led community initiative.
This accomplishment reflects our ongoing dedication to meaningful digital inclusion and wellbeing education. At Hubert Ogunde Memorial School, we are committed not only to academic excellence but to preparing our learners for life in an increasingly connected world — equipping them with the skills, values, and understanding needed to navigate technology safely and responsibly.
